The goal of the folklor section is to preserve the traditions and customs of our Bosnian identity. Folk costumes and folklor are in the long-standing tradition of our people, and in this way we try to develop a feeling for the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the youth.
In addition to preserving and remembering Bosnia, the goal of the section is to gather the youth to socialize in our premises, to offer an alternative to today’s experiences that the younger generations are facing. Kud Sevdah is based out of our local Des Moines, Iowa area and is a part of our community.
Many generations have passed through KUD and represented our IICB organization with great success. Kud Sevdah is successfully led by choreographer, Nermina Beganovic. They participate in many events throughout America, of which the Susreti of Bosniaks of North America, where they are regular participants.
